Amongst tens of millions of Holocaust victims despatched to Auschwitz II-Birkenau in 1944, Priska, Rachel, and Anka every handed via its notorious gates with a secret. Strangers to one another, they had been newly pregnant, and going through an unsure destiny with out their husbands. Alone, scared, and with so many family members already misplaced to the Nazis, these younger ladies had been privately decided to carry on to all they’d left: their lives, and people of their unborn infants.

That the gasoline chambers ran out of Zyklon-B simply after the infants had been born, earlier than they and their moms could possibly be exterminated, is only one of a number of miracles that allowed all of them to outlive and rebuild their lives after World Warfare II.
