On June 5, 2002, fourteen-year-old Elizabeth Good, the daughter of a close-knit Mormon household, was taken from her residence in the midst of the evening by spiritual fanatic, Brian David Mitchell and his spouse, Wanda Barzee. She was stored chained, wearing disguise, repeatedly raped, and instructed she and her household could be killed if she tried to flee. After her rescue on March 12, 2003, she rejoined her household and labored to select up the items of her life. In My Story she tells, for the primary time, of the fixed worry she endured each hour, her brave willpower to take care of hope, and the way she satisfied her captors to return to Utah, the place she was rescued minutes after arriving. Good explains how her religion helped her keep sane within the midst of a nightmare and the way she discovered the energy to confront her captors at their trial and see that justice was served.
